It is chunky and I should have included that I do wear a neck strap with it. Having said that I have no issue burning through batteries with the tablet/controller combination. The ThorLift setup keeps the system balanced.

Really funny you mention this... Was flying out over farm land at 145 feet altitude and started experiencing a break up in video followed by a “RC Lost Signal”... Oh Boy!! What saved me was I had started a climb when the video started breaking up and I suddenly regained reception... Long story...

Interesting, I fly with a Tripltek Pro and have not experienced this level of depletion! Maybe it’s because of the state of charge of my TriplTek when I fly?? But I have not seen that level of depletion in ~40 minutes of flying.
What type of tablet mount are you using for the iPad. As stated, the iPad should not be a “player” in the range of the drone! The RC has the antennas, transmitter and receiver not the iPad. I would look at the relationship of the RC’s antenna with the iPad installed... Also, just a thought...
