Can you elaborate on this further? You’re saying that running the DJI fly app on an android device convinces the remote’s transmitter to operate at a higher wattage?
Even after running into that fishing pole, the drone shouldn’t have just tumbled like that. Anyone who’s gone into some minor twigs and branches knows that the drone has a lot more power than that. It’ll power through and recover. That drone seemed to just bump the pole and almost power down...
I’m not sure it’ll have reaction speed enough for it to be effective. Yeah it’ll trigger something if it gets close enough, but if you both are moving fast, it’s not going to matter. Plus the mini does not have any sensors, so it’ll just keep going no matter what..
The sensors are effective...
Had a Mavic Mini, sold it and bought an Air 2 base package.
I won’t be long winded. Get the MA2. Even with one battery, you’re getting a far superior drone. I’ve since pieced my kit together over time. It’s a perfectly fine way to go. I bought the Mavic 2 Pro’s case and it’s a much better way...
They just labeled some things differently. Added a pause icon to the RTH button, renamed tripod mode to cine on the mode switch... It’s the same remote..
I’m sorry if this is an uninteresting topic, but I just have to say it.
I’m a launch day purchaser of the Air 2 and I’m just continuously impressed with it..
Imagine your 12 year old self and ask that kid “what’s the ultimate toy that you’d like to own?” My answer would have literally been a...
I still don’t get it.. you’re confined to your house,.. got it,..
Why can’t you fly your drone? You’re not allowed to step out onto the doorstep? You’ve got nothing for a yard?
Some draconian laws in Australia that state specifically, additionally to being on house arrest, no drone flying as...
That’s got to have something to do with it operating 5.8ghz with more wattage or something. It would be a completely anomalous situation if, with all things being the same, 5.8 achieved a longer range.
I say this not as a drone enthusiast but a ham radio operator..
You’re better off going for the 2.4ghz tuned yagis if you really want to maximize range. 2.4ghz has properties that are more favorable to long range, and 5.8ghz is shorter range with favorable properties for higher data rates...
Regardless of which band you choose, be sure that you’re going...
I think I came up with an inexpensive solution to a weatherproofing measure for the MA2.
From what I understand, the main vulnerability to flying the MA2 in the rain is the battery button and the seal between the drone and the battery. Dampness can and in fact does go into these areas when...
Actually it looks fine to me... I watch a ton of those tutorial type welding videos and that’s about as good of a job as I’ve seen. The arc is obviously going to blow out any visibility near the arc. The fact that the entire image isn’t blown out and shows all of the detail in the room is a good...
Welding is a pretty (virtually impossible really) thing to record properly. I’m a welder as well.
I can’t think of a bigger lighting discrepancy than an arc flash 5x brighter than the sun in an indoor environment lol.
Most pros struggle with an outdoor shot with the sun in frame.
That was it for me as well. It just didn’t seem like serious kit.
I get that the thing needed to be that way to make it 249 grams, and I came to the conclusion that I frankly didn’t care about it being 249 grams in the first place, so why am
I making this compromise in quality.
I’m sure that...
