Well it seems like the cases mentioned are well up to the task. I will be ordering them. The other items will be well packed in our hiking packs. My main concern is protecting the Mavic.
Here you go Boris. Like I said, it's a regular style hard case, like a Pelican case. Not the small ones you were talking about. But the Mavics extended landing gear sits in it perfectly. I also use the space to store the little silicone landing gear I have. I switch between the two depending on...
I can show you mine, it holds my Mavic with extended landing gear attached. Keep in mind that it's the $20 Sams Club case. I just cut out a small section of the foam under the plucking foam layer for the landing gear. I hated having to remove it every time.
Dont try with the clamp on. SD card swaps have been known to fix issues sometimes. Now I have no clue as to what's causing your issues. Hopefully somebody with more knowledge will reply soon.
Just curious to know if you happened to have had the clamp on for an extended amount of time before removing it. It may be possible that that the gimbal motors burnt up from being overloaded for an extended amount of time. You are moving the dial both ways to check for movement, correct?
Or is Devinci Resolve easier to use than Adobe Premiere Pro? I've been learning Premiere for the past week or two and for some reason I struggle. I download the free version of Davinci Resolve and after about a half hour of getting use to the layout, I'm already knocking out a project easier...
I just went through some of my recent flight logs. Mine shows various other things such as take off, gps, sport and landing. But I never noticed "joystick" like your screenshot shows. So idk.
Example, this is it showing "landing". Even on this short flight, it never displayed "joystick"
Go pro will be mounted on my father in law for the hike. Recording what he wants. Plus I will more than likely use it for water activities as well. I will have the dslr at the ready for the vast majority of the climb. He has specific areas he really wants arial footage of. So the drone will stay...
Yes, we will be taking real hiking packs. But I'm sure they're going to be stuffed with stuff. I'm taking an assortment of things and so is he plus I'm taking my gopro with accessories and my dslr. The drone is specifically for Arial footage/pics. I'll look into that case you mentioned.
As the title states, I will be hiking with the Mavic later this year. My father in law wants to hike up one of the mountains he grew up playing on in Colorado. It will be a three day hike, two days up one day down. He also wants me to bring my drone to get Arial footage of his childhood memory...
My one and only crash happened in front of my house. I got a little too comfortable with sport mode a few days after getting the Mavic. I was doing some passes to and from me.
On the last one, coming at me, I came in hot and undercompensated the braking distance. Hit some small trees I have on...
