The one thing that stopped me upgrading to mini2 is that it has lipo batteries so you can't just leave them charged like you can with mini 1.. lipo batteries have to be kept about half charge and charged the day you want to use them..
I have not had any issue with it..
I saw a thread on here a while back where someone had been flying around one of the towers taking pics and had no problems.
Sounds like a good job for a spotter. They can field the questions and keep people at bay while you flying. Maybe they could have a laminated summary of the local regulations to show anyone who approaches as well.
Explaining to people that you need to concentrate while flying but will be landing...
Some basic things to think about.
Do you have antennas on controller in recommended position.?
On my mini that's flats of antenna towards drone
Is there a clear line of sight between controller and drone?
Trees , buildings etc can block signal.
I notice that signal was disrupted when you...
I am happy it had a good outcome for you.
I have a question for those that are putting their lipo batteries in lipo bags to charge.
Does that not increase the temp of batteries as they are charging?
Wouldn't that increase the chance of thermal runaway if it does?
They can't be vented for better...
I fly fixed wing models as well as drones . I found for the first 3 years I didn't use any exp (exponential) as I wanted to get used to making fine adjustments on the sticks.
Then I had a warbird that was very unruly, it seemed that even the finest movement over corrected.. one of the guys at...
Have a play with find my drone.
It is built in to controller and if you still can't find it when you close ,providing battery still providing power, you can make it buzz and flash lights..
It works well. I have used it a couple of times.
Power the drone on and have a friend go hide it for you...
For flight like that I use a floor mat from my car. It is a good size and has enough weight that if the mat starts to move it is too windy to be flying .
A circular polarising lens would need to be set on the ground before the flight. You need to work out the angle you are going to shoot from and set as best you can because they work according to angle from Spain.you can't change it while in the air.
You could take 2 or more pics using Ev to...
