It's locked to the current heading. If the nose is facing N when course lock is activated pushing up on the pitch stick will move the AC north, down moves it south, right east, and left west. Rudder input doesn't change that. Mike

False. Small L/R movements will cause lateral movement, perpendicular to the course lock heading. If you want to go back and forth in a straight line from the HP just use the right stick up/down and not left/right--or increase expo if you are doing it inadvertently, as already stated. Mike
