There is a internal(inside)card in mavic behind metal plate. u have to apply heat to take it up.

I am Shure there's a way to put firmware in internal SD card meaning u will have to open dron e.

Could be bad ribbon cable,you can't be Shure about 1 that came with the gimbal.u can try do firmware update without connected gimbal and then reconnect it back. I had crashed mine,after changing cable which looked fine one of axles didn't work so I replaced gimbal arm and all was fine. those...

Indoors without GPS it wouldn't hoover steady in one place because different factors.

It's possible gimbal arm got enough impact on axels slightly bending it,see if all 3 freely rotates.I had crashed mine, after changing gimbal arm everything back to normal.fell with fingers if it's any heat from gimbal.

Changed gimbal arm and it worked.Im going to test out tomorrow.arm came with flat cable installed,but looked damaged.

That's happened to me too.I think gimbal motors are as sensitive as cables.I ordered new arm with flat cable.Will see how it goes
