I'm in love with that stuff! I got a HUGE roll (about 75', if I recall) of 2-sided Velcro cable wrap from Amazon (I think?) several years ago. It was about $12 bucks. Using it for EVERYTHING!!!
My "old" Win 10 machine's graphics card won't handle anything too advanced, but I've had luck with kdenlive. It's free, and even I (a complete newb!) had it under control for basic editing in a few hours. It's free, so it can't hurt to ry... Good luck!
Just a thought...have you tried a different charging cable to the remote? USB cables are notoriously fragile, and prone to internal shorts or opens, particularly at the connectors where the cable flexes a lot.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned kdenlive. I couldn't run Resolve due to an "antique" video card, but kdenlive has run flawlessly (once I learned how to make it go!) It's also free, open-source, and runs on Windows, IoS, or whatever Linux distro you choose.
Quite a few days near, at, or over 120* here lately. I restrict my fly times to early morning of late evening...and that's only when there's no wind, which blows almost constantly.
