Right. It may or may not work. I did more research to find that CE Mavics exhibited FCC performance when the remote's location was spoofed. It only makes me think that the location is decided primarily by the controller/phone, which is why I believe theory could hold water. Also, there are still...
There may be some light after all.
I re-downloaded the latest version of DJI Fly (1.2.1), which enabled me to connect with my Mini2 again. I downloaded a mock location app (FlyGPS) and changed my default location app to this one. While staying in the US, I changed my location to Chennai, a city...
Hey! I just downloaded 1.2.0 and it works with the Mini2. Just to be sure, we talking about:

Does this version of DJI Fly has this 15m ceiling for your Mini?
UPDATE: I...
I can just downgrade right now and let you know if I am able to fly my Mini2. My guess behind why DJI is trying to enforce this restriction on the nano drones is that people will now start looking for ways to fly their more expensive models legally in India (= DGCA laxes its ridiculous...
Dang it! I sold my MA2 and bought the Mini2 specifically for an upcoming trip to India! I do see a solution to this problem- downgrading the app to the previous version. I wish DJI doesn't disable support for that version!
Is the 15m ceiling set for nano drone purchased within India? Would somebody with an imported model also have this height limit when they fly it in the country?
MA2 hands down! But if weight and size is most important to you and don't mind a compromise in functionality, MM2.
The MA2 has a design flaw imo. A lot of people without any incident (me included) have seen stress cracks formed at hinge points of front arms.
I think the previous comments may not be accurate. Although I sold my MA2 soon after my MM2 arrived, I did compare the bags and found the bag of the MM2 to be slightly smaller (maybe an inch) in almost every dimension.
Thanks for that. I wanted to ignore the sound, but read comments from a few people who saw this sound turn into bigger problems. It is a good thing I returned the first one because the drone did not make the "ta na na" DJI startup welcome sound and I thought DJI got rid of that for this model.
That sounds positive! Thank you. I did my own searching in the internet to find out some poeple who had a clicking arm later saw development of minute cracks near the arm hinge, which got me worried.
I have owned all Mavic (except the pro series) and this is the first time I am hearing this clicking sound when opening and closing the left arm at about the halfway point.
I spoke to DJI CS who recommended that I return it for a replacement, and when I finally opened my REPLACEMENT, IT HAS...
You can print a Nylon part on a SLS printer. Another 3DP that produces really good resolution is SLA. If it is 3DP, it is going to have to either be SLS or SLA.
The round parts (motor clamps etc) indeed need 4 axes to machine in their current state. If you can change the design to something that requires only three axes, the desktop CNC mill (about $2.5k) will be more than what you need.
Or maybe even SLS 3DP technology?
