    D-Log to HDR (Rec.2020) workflow

As the title says. I can only find D-Log to Rec.709 workflows online. The way I always thought about it, was that 'log'-profiles in general store the most dynamic range, even compared to the HLG format. This video suggests it's possible, but I can't replicate the result in DaVinci. Highlights...

Mavic 3 Pro not for EU or UK?

It is possible to fly these kinds of drones over crowds, even the Inspire 3 or the M30T for that matter. However, doing so places you in the 'Specific' or 'Restricted' category. To fly in that category you need to apply for a permit which - at least in my country - costs more than the Mavic 3...

Significant improvement of 7x lens! comparison inside

It's about the maximum take-off weight the manufacturer of the drone specifies at the time of applying for the label, AFAIK. So if DJI makes a new battery and gets the drone accepted for a new label, the owner needs to do the same steps as they need to retrofit the 'OG' M3. With the consequence...

Mavic 3 Bouncing in the air

Good catch - I was indeed concerned about my privacy. The logs has been stripped from all location and serial data and uploaded here.

Mavic 3 Bouncing in the air

It was hovering above an open field, no obstacles in close proximity of the drone.

Mavic 3 Bouncing in the air

This evening I took a walk and took the drone with me to create some aerial shots. A short time after take off, the rear of the drone started to 'bounce' heavily in the air. It wasn't that high above open fields, but scary anyway. It's like the front part of the drone was 'locked' to a specific...

The Air 2s in no way should be compared to the Mini 3 Pro. The Air 2s is a far superior aircraft.

No matter how you look at it - in my opinion - after I purchased it, it's my own device. I want to do with my device what I want to do with it - even if it means playing Doom on the controller just for fun. I don't know how the DMA law in Europe is going to play out, but it might create a...

I meant it as a technical comparison - their controllers are (well, except for the 'new' RC maybe) all overpriced. This locking down is an artificial limit imposed by DJI, the hardware is capable of running other apps just fine.

The Air 2s in no way should be compared to the Mini 3 Pro. The Air 2s is a far superior aircraft.

Okay, my opinion. All consumer-level drones (including the M2 and M3) are (kind of) toy drones. Yes, you read that correctly. They all are stabilized flying computers, and the only thing the pilot has to do is learning how it respond to the sticks. It even auto returns to the home point in case...

Mini 3 Pro as second drone, good?

Under generic EASA rules maybe, but countries are free to extend this regulation and add additional requirements. Most countries do that, some even more stringent then others. Also, if I'm not mistaken, drones heavier then 249 grams need to have remote identification, while sub 249 gram drones...

Battery depleted to 0% - damaged?

Yesterday we went for a couple of flights. During the last flight we totally underestimated the time it would take us to fly back given the distance (I was assuming 25% would cut it) At about 5% I knew it was done, the AC simply started landing... into the river (I still had 500 meters to go...
