So legally I can fly for recreation?

Yes using the apps. That is where I see the a-381 special fly area. What I am not clear on, is if I can or ca not fly legally for recreation. I have not tried, so not sure what the DJI app shows.

So I’m wanting to fly the shoreline at Pirates Beach in Galveston. Outside of the airport airspace. But I’m confused on this a-381 comment. Can anyone clear it up for me? Thanks

I would suggest mounting it on the bars or someplace handy. You might need it urgently.

Was playing with active track and well the ocotillo seems to have gotten in the way. Mavic Air 2 recovered and I flew it out and landed no issues. Only damage was to the propeller that cracked.

It will go up and down in altitude. But check or maximum distance setting, or once you hit that limit the drone will just stop and hover.

What part of Indiana? I grew up just north of Anderson.

I built a custom holder and mounted it to the handle bars. And used a phone holder also, so the phone was not bouncing on the controller. Here is a video I made and the controller was there on the handle bars rock solid. I grab some pictures and post in a bit of the mount
