100MP and 25MP DNG please

I think it's going to be fantastic for my work.
The extra speed will be a real plus.
The only little niggle I picked up was that I wasn't able to catch it and had to land on the ground.
I'll have to investigate that further.
You must be one of the first people on the forum with the drone, would be good to hear your thoughts on a first impressions thread or similar.

Mines stuck in an Argos warehouse, wondering if I’m gonna pull the trigger on him lol

But likewise, looking forward to seeijg what @Meta4 thinks first impressions

According to drone supremacy channel on YouTube, it seems that this drone like all the recent ones still has sharpness problem in some situations. Wonder when DJI is going to address that issue by chosing to use high quality glass and inforce the control quality to avoid decentered lenses

Seems to be hot and miss. @Filmarik says he has a diamond Mavic 3 Pro with perfectly centred lens, perfect sharpness across the frame but the jury’s out with the M4P.

Reminds me to get out with my Air 3s and do more stills. Video wise I can’t complain, but these kind of issues rarely show to the eye on flying movement

I posted some sample images back in post #34 that you can download to check.

Meanwhile here are a few test images I shot
There are 4 sets of 3 comparing the different cameras and 4 extra grab shots from the main camera.

Here's a download link for the whole set:
Or you can download individual images separately.

The photos are jpg straight from the camera.
I was impressed with the detail in all three cameras.
Thanks for posting those. I took a look at the full screen versions on Smugmug but will download some samples from your link this weekend when I get some more time. The images from all of the cameras do look good for all of the cameras and appear to be sharp from the centre to the edges. If I was selling my images and making a living from photography I would most likely upgrade to the Mavic 4 Pro.

I am curious to know, did you upgrade to the new RC Pro 2 controller as well or did you purchase the package with the RC-N3 controller and use your current tablet?

I am, like you used to work with FF DSLR cameras which all have 3:2 aspect ratio sensor. But I have options to put on my FF 17mm lens or 24 or 50 or whatever. From ultrawide angle to tele if I want. My point with this M4P 3:2 sensor is that with 4:3 ratio I'd have choice which area to crop to get to 3:2 if that is what I want as my output format. I can keep all the bottom part and only crop the top or keep all the top and crop from bottom. And then there are situations when I want the more squarish format when the subject requires it and that is when 4:3 comes handy and I can use the full realestate of the sensor without cropping.
What I am saying is that the 28mm lens has naturally narrower angle of view compared to 24mm and now with the smaller 3:2 sensor the vertical coverage has been cut to about half. When shooting mostly architecture this makes a massive difference! And all of this without any mention in the spec sheet!!
That is the point I was trying to convey.
I agree it's not ideal, but I'm looking forward to shooting some vertical panoramas, meaning shooting in vertical mode with shots from left to right and then stitching them together. I'm curious how that will work with static subjects. It could be a step up from the Mavic 3, but what we really need is at least an APS-C sensor with interchangeable lenses. Maybe Sony will change its mind and releases an improved version of its drone. No one else seems to care about photographers' needs.

I am sure the stitched panos will look pretty awesome. Bear in mind though that the gimbal tilt movement in vertical mode is very limited. Other than that I believe you'll be very happy with the results.
