The arrests have begun. Don't have any concrete facts to comment on. Only thing I said earlier is if you are honest and just make a mistake or doing something pretty harmless or careless, they will track you down with all their resources (at least two dozen officers, agents, and troopers), capture you using force, seize everything you own, and punish you hard in multiple jurisdictions with at least a dozen different felony charges. "Education" is not an option on the table. They don't need fancy drone detection equipment, they don't need any "new laws" their hands are certainly...
"Public officials have said investigators are unsure of where the drones came from or who they belong to, but maintain that there is no known threat to public safety."
No threats but arrests have been made? Does "unsure" mean you have no probable cause? The airports and the military bases and the critical infrastructure folks claim they have hundreds of incidents constantly over the years. This high-profile arrest is clearly an attempt to link the situation with the ongoing events in NJ in some way. As if these guys are responsible, now that they are in jail, does that mean the "drones" will stop? Are we going to arrest the hundreds of other people responsible for flying their drones illegally over and near places they shouldn't be? Do you think we can just arrest our way to solving this problem?
