20 °F Mini Flight over Newly Frozen Lake - Update: AIRDATA

I’m still figuring out all the controls so I’m flying with the training wheels (range limiter). For this flight I set the max range at 130m and the max altitude 30m. The temperature was 20 °F. With a forecast of 3 mph winds it was a perfect day to fly, other than the low temperature. I got 16 minutes of flight time with 40% battery life remaining. During the flight I used hand warmer packs to keep my iPhone and the controller warm.

Is there any permenant damage to the batteries at that temp?
What are the drawbacks.
Up here in Dakota, it would be nice to fly in sub-freezing temps.

I flew my mini in 25 degree temps and about 5 mph winds. It really struggled and ended up losing altitude and basically crashing after the battery got to about 60%. Has anyone else had this issue?
