Just curious from a technical perspective why the digital zoom option does not work in 4k? I would think you would want it in 4k and the device would crop to get the zoom. Anyone with experience in digital photography know how its implemented? I know for cinematic purposes you would just shoot in 4k and zoom in during post processing but this is a great feature if you are out just looking around and want to keep the quad a bit higher off the ground. I'll use it for deer observation prior to the hunting season.

I think it works the other way around...
If you are shooting at a lower resolution than the maximum one, you can afterward crop to part of the full picture without changing the output resolution. If you film in 4k and you want to zoom, you have to make up information which isn't there...

That's how it works. . The sensor is 4k so you can't do digital zoom as the resulting picture would be less than 4k. If you have res set to full hd, then you can zoom using the extra resolution of the sensor
