I'm not sure about the projection, the horizon is far from flat. Perhaps you could put the originals into PTGui and straighten out the horizon to improve the photo.

PTGui is Windows software. I am a Mac user. First time I've had to create one by hand (MA2 does it for you).

Scratch that...just found the link for the Mac version. I'll give it a shot.

Well, I don't like PTGui at all. Put in the same set of images into it and it just lost its mind. I had to rearrange all the images to its liking...and then it just looked terrible...would have to spend hours fixing the alignments. LR did it in 60 secs with barely any retouching needed. If I have time maybe I'll mess with it again, but not really impressed.
