Hi. I'm running a smal office that specializes on cad. The last months I have started to receive pointclouds from a client in another part of the country. I've also had some requests in my area if I do dronescan, geoscan service. I'm now looking for a drone to do that, and I realy dont want Phantom drone because of size. I know Phantom 4 pro is very good. But I'm wondering if a Mavic Pro 1 or 2 or zoom can do a good enough job? I will make pointclouds of the data.
Thanks alot :)

This depends on your desired output resolution and subject matter. 'Good enough' is subjective. I'm not familiar with the terms 'drone scan' or 'geoscan'. I've mostly used the P4P for photogrammetry, with both Pix4d and Photoscan software, and it produces excellent survey-grade results. I've tried the MP1and was impressed with the resulting orthophoto, but the resolution is obviously less than that of the P4P. The MP2 will probably be on par with the P4P in most cases, but I've heard of some issues with its exif data and it may or may not be supported yet by some flight planning apps. I'm not sure why you think that the P4P is too large. That will never be an issue unless you plan on backpacking with it. It's a solid, time-tested aircraft that is still the best consumer grade UAV for photogrammetry and point cloud production.
