So I’ve noticed a lot of off brand batteries for the Air 3/3s on Amazon recently. Wondering if anyone has gotten one of these to test. Prices not low enough to make it worthwhile but considering you can’t get the DJI ones? Also the thought crossed my mind that these might be DJI but incognito? The only reviews I’ve found were from sponsored buyers so can’t really trust those. And yes I realize the dangers of using off brand batteries. A friend got a couple for his Mini 4 Pro. Worked until he did an update. Gave them to me and have been using them in my Mini 3 pro for months. Haven’t updated it either though.

BUYER BEWARE ,BEEN THERE DONE THAT WITH NON DJI BATTERIES
YOU GOTTA ASK YOURSELF IS IT WORTH THE GAMBLE
THE ORIGINAL MAVIC PRO NON BATTERY WENT FROM 84 % T0 9 % IN AN INSTANT ,I WAS LUCKY THE DRONE WAS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME ,I CHARGED AGAIN BUT GOT THE SAME RESULTS

Anything that is critical for the drone to stay up in the air (batteries & props), go OEM. I bought some off-label batteries, had a thermal runaway with one of them, melted the drone and other batteries in the pelican case. The only reason my house did not go up in flames is because the pelican case was air tight and a fire could not start.

I bought 3 batteries (Air 3S) from Amazon that the seller said it was DJI. I looked at the pictures and I risked it and got the real thing. The seller name XSMO. I hope it helps.

Its risky they may work fine for now but future firmware updates can make them useless.
