Iv noticed when playing back 4K 60 frames video in windows media player (windows 10 OS) I’m getting a stutter every half second. This happens in straight level flight or slow panning movement. Iv tried using ND filter and shutter speed 1/120 speed to match, but makes no difference to smoothness. I’m guessing something else is going on? The videos play smooth on the RC screen. Also makes no difference if a play the file on the second card itself or from my ssd on pc. My pc has i7 6700K cpu with nvidia 3080ti graphics card. The pc is connected to my LG oled 55 inch TV running 120hz. I did change desktop settings to 60hz to see if made and difference but did not. 4k 30 and 25 frames are great no stuttering. Also tried playing the files on VCL media player but that seems to play 30 and 60 frame video what a perceive to be a slower choppier speed? My file format is MP4 using H.265.
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Lee.

So what's your problem?

Edit; you may have to adjust the neurons within your brain to perceive the desired frame rates to correspond with the lines flashing across any display. This may take many generations of evolution before coming to a conclusion that it's just how it is!

Definitely try 4k60p h.264.

Your GPU really ought to be keeping up with the decoding of 4k60p h.265 - it’s also worth checking for GPU driver updates. Is that your only GPU? Is it possible that playback is from a motherboard GPU or something?

H.265 is highly compressed and takes a lot of processing to play back smoothly. I always record in H.264.
Also worth checking that the SD card you are recording with is fast enough.
DJI have a QVL stating which SD cards they recommend for the M3P.

It’s none of that guys. My pc is a gaming rig so it’s always up to date with drivers ect. The cards I have are the Samsung pro plus ones recommended by DJI. Like I said before, if I play from my fast M2 ssd I get the same stutter. I’ll try H.264 and see if makes any difference. Thanks.

It's the codec, trust me. H2.65 slows down because of coding/decoding and it takes a lot of horsepower to do that. Even gaming rigs fall short a lot of time. As suggested above, export it as H.264 and you should be good to go.

Just try it in h.264 and see what happens. a 3080ti is top of the line but that cpu is pretty long in the tooth. There are different flavors of h.265 and maybe that cpu isn’t optimized for that flavor of h.265

no option for h264 when running 4k 60 frames, no matter. Just install pot player, runs beautifully!!! butter!!!!! no jerks or choppiness. Still life in my i7 yet lol.
