I don't know if it's a bargain or not. But I love it. FYI. I think I paid more than that for my six channel FM Futaba back in 2004.

It's compact. It's bright. It has a long battery life. I can boot it and start the drone and be flying in less than 30 seconds. I'm usually still screwing the joysticks and when it says ready. There is no wires. No clamps. No awkward weight distribution. I only have two things to remember to charge.

I bought the Mavic day one when it came out 2016. it was a piece of junk. It constantly had problems, disconnects, and crashes. Hell I bought a new phone becase DJI convinced me that had to be the issue. I have a YouTube video showing where it disconnected and just hovered. I think after the third reboot of the radio I finally regained control of it. I came close to sending it back. I have no doubt DJI will, eventually, address the shortcomings of the Smart Contoller.
