A minor indiscretion

Don't encourage me please!. I came to realise that living on a windy island, (yes us Brits can sometimes forget we are islanders) I needed something a bit more capable for the quiver as well.
I have gliders that range from being capable of flying on a mosquito's Fart to some which I've personally flown in 60mph winds. Plus it's the Law to own more than one drone.

:DFirst battery charged. Controller charged. Just waiting for this phone to charge. Then its Drone setup time. Weather for today is crap. Saturday a risk of thunderstorms. Sunday - Big Boys toys day!
enjoy your new drone ,dont forget to update the firmware if needed and this will include all the batteries, and the RC

So here we go. Having done all the updates. It will not allow me to activate the model. Tried the usual turn off and on. Still no go and I get a message asking me to contact dji?

You may want to try out your new bird with the original "factory flashing" of the firmware and stuff.
Not to slight you O.M.M. in any way, but alot/some of folks have had issues when updating the MA2 right out of the box. Of course, a majority have zero issues, and they don't show up here on the forums. Only the folks that are having issues end up here (and there).
Read this forum, and there is another forum out there (you know the name of it, it's on your bird), you should look at the "updating issues" that there may be.
I am still on 3 year old firmware.
Caveat Emptor...(firmware beware)... ;)

Looks like the serial number is not in dji's files? What a load of crap. Going back to store tomorrow. Not happy. How can you ship a product which has a serial number and you don't have a record of this?

Thanks for the input mate. How do you do that? It asked for the update. After the update it refuses to do anything.

I take it you tried to activate the kit, and it failed? Giving you what error code?
Just a side note, could you be trying to register using your computer over wifi? I had issues of the same, but when I went to a hard wire LAN cable, badda bing, badda boom, all good.
Did you purchase at a store with an direct exchange policy? Can activate/register it, something wrong.

You are not required to do any updates if you don't want to.
Have you rebooted everything after you saw that the updating was done?

Error code 1112. I was updating through my Android phone. Could that be the issue? Do I need to do it through a computer.

Cheers buddy. Seller is Argos so no problem with returns. I hate being beat by tech though. I'm going to try through my laptop. I'll post how it goes. Many thanks. Steve.

If it took the update, then it should be good to go.
Oh, you may have to log out of your dji account, and log back in...

I have tried all that. My mavic mini still flies. The Air 2 shows no errors according to the leds . I still get the drone stolen 1112 code. I am returning it to store tomorrow. It's a shame because I trusted this brand. However I'll try another brand. At least my mini has been okay. Thanks for your persistence in this matter.
