A minor indiscretion

The best way to overcome this illness is to separate immediatly from all mavics. It is radical, but the only way to survive.
Since my doctor gave up the hope to cure me and since I am a very social empathatic person, I offer to take care of your products.

I did get quite exited when having another go at getting it to bind. It asked for battery firmware to be updated. I did that thinking this could be issue. Nope and it still tries to take off by itself, jumps around like a frog.
 
An update. Because all Argos stores up here are temporarily closed I used their online chat. When I mention faulty item the person on the other end leaves the chat and does not return. After 2 hours of this I've had enough.
Their in Sainsbury stores are refusing to accept it because it's been opened. Im at a loss at the moment and it's obviously a bad time to have things go wrong.

They have no legal right to refuse. The stores are fully aware of their legal obligations and do everything they can to get away with it.

It is impossible to tell if a goods item is faulty without opening it and checking. No policy allows them to avoid your legal rights.

Buying from any provider is a legally binding contract with you and they cannot waive whatever laws they choose. It is part of the Consumer Rights Act 2015,

You can quote the following to them and mention the Consumer Rights Act 2015:


‘As with the Sale of Goods Act, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 all products must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.’

Satisfactory quality is defined as:

‘Goods shouldn't be faulty or damaged when you receive them. You should ask what a reasonable person would consider satisfactory for the goods in question.’

I’ve never had a return item refused after quoting the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Sometimes it takes a battle but you are well within your rights.

Make sure you put something in writing and date it - there is a 30-day limit on raising an issue but after that you have further rights, which includes ‘reasonable lifetime’ of a product, which extends beyond the standard warranty.

An example of reasonable lifetime in the UK for a DJI battery back that has been properly charged and cared for and within the LiPo lifespan of 100-250 cycles, far exceeds DJI’s 6-month warranty. You have every right for a replacement beyond that period but expect a battle - you need to prove ‘reasonable’.

Really hope you get it sorted soon. Who knows how long this break in the weather will last after such an amazing Spring.

Thanks for the information mate. The real issue is actually getting it back to them. Argos "in store" such as Sainsbury's won't accept opened goods. Some Argos collect stores are opening on monday but only for click and collect orders, not returns. I can see this dragging on and on.

Don't encourage me please!. I came to realise that living on a windy island, (yes us Brits can sometimes forget we are islanders) I needed something a bit more capable for the quiver as well.
I have gliders that range from being capable of flying on a mosquito's Fart to some which I've personally flown in 60mph winds. Plus it's the Law to own more than one drone.
That's good it's the law, i don't know if it's just me but I can only fly one at a time.
