You guys make me wish for an open-architecture drone system in which the user could install 3rd party or scratch-built modules to enhance whichever characteristic(s) are desired: range, speed, carrying capacity, fly time, remotely controllable lighting, PA, sound monitoring, etc.
Think of the possibilities!
There are several commercial drone that use PX4.What your referring to is the build yourself FPV drone.

I've been exploring something similar with my MA2 as well and came across this:

It uses a fiber optic cable triggered by the LED on the bottom of the drone. Might be possible to connect a photoresistor to a Raspberry Pi?
Sadly you took this photo with a muddy potato. This is the only example of this I can find on the entire internet. I want to do this same thing but you didn't take even REMOTELY close to a clear enough photo.. So sad when you get SOOO close to learning new things online but can't be totally sure.. Hi! What did you mean aboud arduino? Does copter have some interface to connect ardoino or stm32? UART or SPI or I2C? Do you know something about this?maybe even an arduino.
