I placed a preorder about a week ago on the Mavic 4 Pro fly more combo. I got a confirmation that it shipped today and should arrive early next week. It seems like Adorama is still getting a supply of them into the US if you are wanting to snag one.

Cool thanks for letting us know. Looks like only the Rc2 combo is shipping, no base or creator. Still, I'm hoping one day we go back to pre-tariff pricing. Oh, looks like RcPro2 also available now. Where is B&H in all this?

Is there a warranty? I heard you can't by DJI Care with a US Zip no matter where you get the drone?

They do not have them as I just checked and it says on backorder.

Warranty, who knows until someone actually tries it. But since they usually replace a drone rather than repair it, it is likely that they won't do that until they are officially selling in the US.

Care Refresh is not available per someone that owns one.

Care Refresh is available for Canada when purchased in Canada; I'll just have to make sure my flyaway only occurs in Canada. Having said that, what if we take our drone on vacation to another country, does DJI Care Refresh still work? I can understand if drone replacement or parts would be sent to country where DJI Care Refresh was purchased. Anyone know? I can always reach out to DJI direct to ask the same question.

Adorama site states Mavic 4 Pro is on back order now. Looks like you snagged the last one!

I just got off the phone with DJI customer service. They confirmed that any Mavic 4's purchased in the U.S. (from authorized dealers) will not have warranty coverage or the ability to buy DJI Care. I have an opportunity to buy one today from a dealer who has the base model but I'm going to have to pass. Just not worth spending almost $3k for a new drone with no coverage.

I checked from DJI. I'm covered for replacement of my drones (damaged or lost anywhere, in any country) while replacement parts or drones will be sent to the country where I purchased my drone and DJI Care Refresh. Thats awesome.

According to Adorama, it is covered under the 1 year warranty and is eligible for DJI Care. I would think there would have been noticeable blowback online already from other folks who bought the 4 Pro from Adorama in the last few weeks if it wasn't covered under warranty and they couldn't add DJI Care.
I was told the process is like the setup with all other drones, you can add it when doing the setup when you start the drone and controller the first time.
I will confirm that and post here when it arrives and I get it set up. If Adorama is wrong and it's not covered, I will send it back ASAP for a refund and stick with my Mavic 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro for a while.

It would be very helpful to hear (and clear up a lot of confusion) from anyone who purchased the M4P from Adorama (or any other U.S. Dealer) if they were able to purchase the DJI care. Another thing that the DJI person told me is that they have no M4P spare parts in the U.S. for any repair services (under warranty or DJI Care).

I think you will hear at least 3 types of scenarios from US customers who purchased from Adorama based on when they purchased. Apparently there was a time early on when the US customer with his new drone had the ability to purchase DJI Care during the setup and activation process. Also there were customers who were able to purchase Care along with their drone when Adorama was able to attach it to the new drone sale. These two scenarios were apparently available and you might hear from people who said they were successful in the opening days. Also most likely the Care purchase process doesn't seem to be linked to the inventory of spare parts or the location of those spare parts. However, it may have prompted the third scenario where lately anyone with a US M4P has been unable to purchase Care because it is blocked so it sounds like DJI has switched it off likely because they are not ready to support it. In addition, if DJI knows which drones are sent to Adorama, they should have to ability to block Care purchases by serial number. I'm hoping to hear from others as well but my hopes are not high because people tend to just say "Yeah I got it" and that's about it. If you are familiar with the process or you don't worry about interchanging all the words and terms etc then it's not really helpful. For example, if you paid that doesn't mean you have it until you confirm. Calling DJI is not really helpful either because of the miscommunication and also the different answers you may receive.

Apparently, you missed my post.

This person purchased from Adorama's initial batch. He said the Care Refresh is NOT available.
There ya go....again!

Okay, here's my experience. I just received a Mavic 4 Pro Fly More with RC 2 controller which I purchased from Adorama on 1 June. I activated the controller and Mavic 4 and was able to choose United States as my country of purchase. Note that during this process I was not offered to purchase a Refresh option. I then went onto the US DJI site and then went to the DJI Store. In the DJI Store I selected Services and all my my DJI drones including my newly purchased and activated Mavic 4 Pro were listed. Next to my Air 3S and Avata 2 drones were options to purchase 1 year or 2 year Refresh Renewal plans but but next to my Mavic 4 Pro drone is a message that says "Unable to purchase DJI Care" and a little question mark symbol. Click the question mark symbol and a the following message is displayed: "You may not be able to purchase DJI Care Refresh due to the following reasons: 1. The backend system has not synchronized the device to this account in time. You can try to search related services and purchase in All Services listed below. 2. No DJI Care services are currently available for purchase. If you have any questions, please contact customer service." See below screen shot.

Next, at the top right of the web page I clicked "United States (English / $ USD)" and selected "Canada (English / $ USD)" from the "Select your Country/Region" pop-up window.

Now My Mavic 4 Pro is listed with 1 and 2 year DJI Care Refresh "Buy Now" options. See below screen shot.

Now I am feeling better thinking I can purchase DJI Care Refresh for my Mavic 4 Pro from the Canada DJI store and I will be covered! I then click on the DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan "Buy Now" button which brings me to the "DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan (DJI Mavic 4 Pro)" web page. See below screen shot.

Now with the "DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan (DJI Mavic 4 Pro) USD $359" option selected I click the "Show Now" button and a pop-up window appears which already has my Mavic 4 Pro serial number entered. Great! Well, actually not great as I also see on the bottom of the pop-up message a paragraph that reads, "DJI Care Service is only valid in the region where it was purchased. DJI Care Service and the corresponding product must be purchased from the same country or region to enjoy the full-service benefits." I read this paragraph to mean that if I continue and I am able purchase DJI Care for my Mavic 4 Pro from this (DJI Canada) web site, the DJI Care coverage purchased from the DJI Canada website for my Mavic 4 Pro will be invalid because my Mavic 4 Pro was purchased in the US! See below screen shot.

I go on and click on the "Submit" button and another pop-up appears asking for my name and phone number. I enter my name and phone number and click the "Submit" button. A "Secure Checkout" page appears. At the top of the page in the "Country/Region" field "Canada" is listed and grayed out so it cannot be changed. I try to enter my US address anyway but cannot because my postal zip code is not recognized and I also see that the drop-down menu for "State/Province" only lists Canadian provinces. I conclude that I cannot purchase DJI Care Refresh (DCR) because I do not have a Canadian address. See below screen capture.

DJI Care Refresh Maic 4 Pro 2-year Care Purchase step 3.png

Main Take-Aways:

1. I purchased my Mavic 4 Pro from a US retailer (Adorama) and I cannot buy the DCR from the US DJI web site. It's simply not an option.

2. I switched to the Canadian DJI site and if I had a Canadian address it appears I would be able to purchase DCR for my Mavic 4 Pro. However, I do not have a Canadian address so I cannot purchase DCR for my Mavic 4 Pro.

3. If I had a Canadian address and entered it and was able to purchase DCR for my Mavic 4 Pro, the coverage would be invalid because DJI states that both the drone and DCR must be purchased in the same region/country.

4. If I keep my Mavic 4 Pro and DJI never offers DCR in the US for the Mavic 4 Pro, my Mavic 4 Pro will only be covered with the basic 1 year manufacture warranty as stated on the Mavic 4 Pro box.

In conclusion I will call Adorama on Monday morning and discuss it with them. If they do not have a way for me to purchase DCR then I am of the mindset now to return my Mavic 4 Pro Fly More with RC 2 Controller back to Adorama and get a refund.

Hope my experience provides some clarity.

Thanks for sharing. That should answer a lot of questions and make clear about the DCS protection plan. I know the box says the 'comes with 1 year warranty...' but for us U.S. buyers/users, that does not apply today for the M4P (per DJI customer service). Stinks for sure. The holdup can't be the tariffs - otherwise the price would simply be marked up accordingly. The U.S. DJI store now has a teaser for the new Enterprise drone set to be released on June 10. WTF?? No customs/tarrifs/security/whatever holdup on that drone? So what gives? Why is the M4P being held hostage for sale in the U.S.?

3. If I had a Canadian address and entered it and was able to purchase DCR for my Mavic 4 Pro, the coverage would be invalid because DJI states that both the drone and DCR must be purchased in the same region/country.

Here's what I think it means:

If you buy this with a Canada address then your coverage must be claimed using those same Canada details meaning your drone would be served using the Canada process and the Canada rules. Obviously wherever you crash anywhere in the world doesn't matter, your claim is launched from Canada. You won't be able to ship your drone from Florida to Dallas facility and you won't be able to get a new/refurb drone sent to you in FL.

I could be wrong but I never heard of DJI allowing you to buy something and then telling you the service is no good once you try to make the claim.

Couple of things: 1) I have heard DJI plans to make an exception on M4P-US-day whenever that is so you may be able to use the video verification process to cover the Adorama drone one day but in the meantime, you go uncovered until then. 2) DJI has always been flexible and while their rules are not always play nice, they do bend and I've heard of them being especially bendable with Care. I will try to find that thread/post where this was mentioned.

Honestly, DJI is not hating on US customers and those who buy from Adorama, I'm sure it will work out one day. DJI is not the enemy. Good luck with your purchase and I hope you are able to enjoy your new drone.

^I need to add one more comment, does this mean Adorama got their drones from Canada?
