ADS Post. No 911, but curious.

Pre Firmware Update, I would receive an automated voice (in Mandarin) of aircraft approaching in the area.

And, my Android would vibrate.

Post update, no voice at all. And no vibration.

Volume turned all the way up. "Take Off" and "Your Home Point Has Been Updated" were clearly audible on both flights this evening.

Any ideas?

Maybe uninstall app and turn off device. reload and see how it goes

I have new firmware and I received this voice prompt just fine today. Btw, firmware runs on the drone and RC.. the voice you hear is coming from the app on your phone.

Appreciate it. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app

Thanks! I wasn't aware Dji released a new version of the Fly App for Android.

Was running version 1.1.4 prior to the firmware update. Post firmware update, and still on 1.1.4 - there were several manned aircraft in my area this evening.

No audible prompts, only visual.

Uninstalled/Reinstalled Fly App - now on 1.1.5.

Will see how it goes.

Thanks, Fellas!

Roughly 220,000 aircraft registered in the United States. Around 63% of the fleet has been equipped with ADS-B. The deadline has passed for the requirement, until those planes are sold and get new owners, I think that's about, "as good as it's going to get". Based on my interpretation of the equipage chart, IF (big if) those numbers are correct, there's a 37% chance you won't see that traffic.Current Equipage Levels

I have yet to even get any kind of warning as airplanes fly over me while flying the Mavic Air 2. I monitor the area with Flightradar24 and see them around me but no warning. I do have Airsense turned on and low, medium and high risk checked in the map. Can’t complain too much as the drone flys spectacular.

Flightradar has other data sources and doesn't rely exclusively on ADSB. ADSB isn't mandatory for all aircraft yet.

While we're on this subject, how do I switch the language back to English? Did the update on the app and now it's in Chinese.

I have never heard the aural warning with AirSense, although I get the visual warnings on my screen. I have it set to low, medium and high, but still nothing. I am flying on an iPad Mini 5, and all my software/firmware is up to date on drone, RC, DJIFly and device.

I posted this in the DJI forum here and got a response from DJI. However, there is a small training airfield close by me, with planes flying circuits nearly everyday. They show up on Flightradar24, I get a visual warning, but like I said, never got an aural warning once.

I will be monitoring this thread.

Bug smashers most likely dont have the tech installed...no ads-b capability

Actually they do. I am familiar with the training center, and all their airplanes have ADS-B.

Also, when an airplane shows up on Flightradar24, you can see what technology they are using to transmit their position.

And as I stated, I get the visual warning, just not getting the aural. So a signal IS being received.

Agreed with the last post. Audible prompts, along with vibration is a must have. Personally, I don't care what language it's in - just as long as I hear the prompt and/or feel the vibration.

With the bird (MA2) in the air while keeping an LOS - visually, my ears are always open too.

It's nice to have the extra notification shouting out messages in a language I don't understand.

But it would be nice if the notification were in English.

Just sayin..

Update on ADS and Fly App for Android 1.1.5

A lot of aircraft activity overhead this evening.

When large aircraft are overhead, the fly app will notify me by way of visual prompts on the display. "Manned Aircraft in the Area".

When smaller (and lower) aircraft are approaching, the Dji app will announce - audibly (still in Chinese) that "Aircraft is Approaching".

Very cool tech.

Still trying to figure out a way to hear this voice enabled prompt - in English.

Other than that - all good.

Wonderful piece of technology!!!

Glad to hear its working for you, my fellow Marylander! Hopefully there will be an aircraft close enough to me to trigger the audible warning for me as well.

Stay safe!
