So I used my ND1000 filter for the first time today, just fooling around. Can anyone with experience give me some advice on long exposure? Things like - is it better with closer distance to the subject? Or does a wider view work better? What shutter duration works best? What kind of neat pics have you created using timelapse? I live on the coast so I assume my best scenario is to shoot the ocean surf. here are a few I just took testing it out. This was from an altitude of about 180ft (M2Zoom). I am guessing lower altitude to help in avoiding any unwanted shake in the picture, plus wider focal length vs. zoomed in for the same reason?
Thanks in advance for any tips.
