After a flight do you format SD (after saving media)

I am sure that my MP uses different numbers on pics & videos all the way up to "DJI_ 9999.jpg" then it starts the count over again...
Nope. Unfortunately, it's only DJI_999.jpg before it rolls over. DJI never expected our drones to last for more than 1000 images or videos! ;)
 
Not true. The GO 4 format is only a quick format which only erases the index file and creates a new blank one. The prior flight data is not touched until it is overwritten as needed.
No such thing as a GO 4 format. DJI uses Fat32 or EX-Fat like all the rest depending on size.
Looking at my status in Windows it certainly looks like its writing to same area after a format but like someone said it will take 100K writes or whatever.

Best solution for everyone is do what you feel best for you

It's a verb, not a noun. You completely missed the point. It's a quick format, not a complete format.
