So after waiting all week the wind finally died down enough to give the new Mini2 a shot...but not enough for me to be comfortable enough to go for a real ride...this is its maiden flight so, it is really nothing but a short test

Wind tends to freak some drone pilots out. With good reason when it's above 20 mph or gust above that. Yet, even with a moderate wind of 10-15, the Mini or Air2 are quite capable.

Was out flying a local fire tower and up around 4,000 ft elevation - the wind tends to kick up and I'm wary of popping the drone up. My buddy I was with had a homemade FPV that he took up first and was flying all kinds of crazy around and thru the fire tower, so gave me some confidence to put my Air2 up. Even at 400 ft ceiling - it did great. He also has an Air2 and he was filming his son and I atop the fire tower and the wind had picked up some and it was bobbing a bit - but not bad for a small drone in higher winds.

Now to process the video and pics from it.
