I'm sure there are countless threads talking about battery repair with the CP2112 battery killer but looking for someone, or a business, who would take a run at a DJI Air 3 Battery for some $$$. I don't have Windows, time, or the tech know-how to attempt this on my own. Is there anyone trustworthy out there to make an attempt at this? I'm not expecting a miracle but I don't want to buy a new battery without trying this first. Not sure if the symptoms even necessitate use of the battery killer.

- Brand new drone owner (bought used from a friend).
- Other two batteries are work and charge fine.
- Battery appeared to charge full then discharged very rapidly upon using it for the first time.
- After attempting to recharge it it blinks up to four bars when on the charger or charging inside the drone.
- Upon removing it and checking battery life it has about 15% charge.
- Not bulging or leaking.
- Tried different ports on the charger and air dusted contacts
- Used and charged in about 70 degree F weather. (not hot or cold)

Don’t mess with batteries. Just drop the $134 for a new one instead of dropping $1,000 when your drone falls out of the sky.

Hi Tienzmeier,
Similar situation. Batteries fully charged 24 hrs before flying drone. Battery #1, all good, back on the ground. Battery swap time. "Fully charged" battery #2, Insert, Button press, 2 LEDs, half charge. Sheesh!
Oh well, "fully charged" Battery #3, Inserted, Button press, 2 LEDs, half charge.

I put no load on any batteries between full charge and time to fly 24 hrs later.
What would cause them to drop to half capacity with no load?
Anyone else experienced this?

Uh, Edit. I might have screwed up.

Was I supposed to have removed them from the charger right after they show fully charged?

Happy flying,
Jack

Leaving batteries on the charger when they are done won’t discharge them. I recommend putting the half charged battery in your drone, then go to your battery section in the 3 dot menu, find the box that shows “days til discharge” and set to the max amount of days. If your batteries still discharge themselves before that, I’d say your batteries went bad. DJI warranties batteries for 200 cycles. So if you don’t live in the USA, go to their website and get on a live chat support. Tell them what’s going on. They’ll have you take a video of you powering up the drone, going to the battery section to show how many charge cycles are on it and showing the battery serial numbers. I did this for 5 Mavic 2 Pro batteries. All were swollen between 100-150 charges and DJI sent me 5 new batteries for free. I also had to show them the battery wobbled because they were swollen so your experience might be slightly different than mine. Good luck to you!
