Air 3 Classic gives the following error message when I try to upgrade the firmware Additional 481 MB is required for the upgrade. Free up space and try again. The SD card is a Sandisk pro 512. I removed all of the pictures and flight log from the internal storage and have the storage location set to the SD card

You mean the Air 3 or the Mavic 3 Classic? Try formatting the SD card and check if the internal storage is full.

Clear all the caches on the internal storage.

I formated the internal storage as well as the SD card and still get the same error message

Try removing the mSD.

are you getting an option to choose the port the firmware is loading is it different than the SD Card? If you remove the SD and you get a no drive found error thats probably it.

That's likely about your mobile device's storage. Free up space on your phone.

Which controller? That's probably the cache that needs clearing.
