Since both got 1" sensors, can one be better than the other or am I completely wrong ??

And is the air 3s better than the air 3 in low light ?

Am confused whether I should upgrade my air 2s to something better, just unsure...

Lens aperture also plays a role in low light. With the sensor sizes being equal, the 3S should be better in low light with a F1.8 lens vs. F2.8 in the 2S.

I'm having trouble finding the video, but several reviewers say the Air3S is a low light beast! Like better than the Mavic3 Pro.

Finally found it!

The Hasselblad sensor on the Mavic 3 Pro is F2.8 on the fast end, but a larger sensor compared to the 3S F1.8 1-inch sensor, so all things considered it's probably pretty equal or negligible difference in low light.

There is no Hasselblad sensor or Hasselblad lens in any DJI drone. They have collaborated with Hasselblad when tuning the colour rendition in the images.
DJI owns Hasselblad and can use the Hasselblad name as they wish. Which they also do;)

its not always about which one has a wider aperture, thats why i made it clear in the title i said low light PERFORMANCE i want the sharpest images in low light, i guess it has to do more with the sensor, thats why i cant believe any drone ATM is more superior to the mavic 3 pro...

does anyone have a clear comparison between the air 3s and the air 2s in low light please ??

did the air 3s finally surpass the air 3 in low light performance with recent FW upgrades as last time i checked it was a debate still...

These are both small sensor drones with limited low light performance. I think your expectations are too high. Even APS-C cameras aren’t great in low light compared to full frame.

I think there's more to it than just the sensor size and the speed of the lens. The 3S is apparently doing some computational photography. It does a series of shorter exposures and combines them "in camera". That means you're more likely to get a sharp photo--less chance of "camera shake" messing up your photo.

But that's not relevant to videos.

No sorry pretty good but not Mavic 3 class.

Are we talking video or photos? Smart phones take pretty good low light photos and they have *tiny* sensors. But there is some computational photography trickery being used to get that result.

I have a Mavic3 Pro and it's pretty great at everything. But things get updated / improved.

The mavic 3 pro series should be better, video maybe the Air3s would be a little better because of new technology.but for just photos no way
ANY of the Air series could be better. And the new Mavic 4 I am sure will for sure smoke any Air series or probably any other consumer made drone that is made. This is the one I may get,but would wait awhile for the user reviews to show up.
