Air in ATTI Mode

Newbie here. Have flown the air in all of its modes around my open fields. How ever I cannot select ATTI mode on the Air. Have read about it but can someone tell me what I will see on my screen if that were to happen. Do I lose just about everything and have to fly it back to me visually. I understand it will maintain height but be affected by wind.
