Airmap and Phone Number error

I've done a couple searches here and on the web can find an answer.
Air map keeps giving me this error "
There is a problem with the number you have entered. Please check the number and try again. "
Have no idea what error it is. air map auto add's +1 when I type in my number anyhelp

From AirMap website: Why can I not save my phone number?

• Entering a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phone number will be saved into the AirMap application, however it is recommended to input a mobile phone number that can accept SMS text messages.
• Google Voice numbers are also currently not accepted.
• Ensure the phone number entered follows the E.164 phone number formatting.

I had the same problem - gave up and used Kittyhawk instead no issues.
Besides AirMap is on the remote Id bandwagon.
