Airmap Question

I just installed airmap on my phone, I'm in Nevada close to Area 51.
I will be flying for fun, if I submit my flight plan, who am I actually submitting it to?
Am I actually submitting it to the FAA or to those people who created this SW/App?

If you are flying for hobby/recreation, then when you submit a flight plan through AirMap, you are only submitting it to AirMap and their system.

Note that submitting a flight plan like that does not provide any FAA authorization nor any required notifications unless the airport is participating in digital notification.
