When your RC is connected to a mobile device such as an iPhone, do you turn on the phone's Airplane Mode? If so, why? Same question if you're hooked to a tablet such as an iPad. If you have 2 such devices, and they're in close proximity to each other, is it best to turn off the one not being used lest it cause interference with the other?

I run my Samsung tablet in airplane mode when flying and have all other apps closed. Also check that the Bluetooth function is turned off. This allows your phone/tablet to devote all it's processor power to run Go 4 and prevents anything internet connected (some background update, for instance) from suddenly running and interfering with Go 4. I also set the date back to 2017 so the Here map displays properly.

If in airplane mode (and Bluetooth turned off) you will not need to turn off any other device that is close by. Airplane mode turns off WiFi, at least it does on my tablet, so other transmissions should not affect it.

I have always thought yeah airplane mode sounds great, but ever time i fly i forget about doing it even though I turn off all other apps before going out. Anyhow one time a few weeks back someone called when i was flying and its really no big thing. I just declined the call and then put the phone on airplane mode lol. Its nothing to ever worry about as soon as you take your hands off the sticks the drone will hover. If its at a very precarious time like landing etc, then just ignore the phone until you land. You don't need the phone to land and turn engines off, which is so good!
