Well technically you can, by getting DJI to approve and unlock it. You'll need a lot of official paperwork to do that though.

If you are trying to fly up a mountain for example, you can land part way up. This resets altitude but also resets home point. You also need to be aware that it can be difficult to maintain connection and vlos doing this.
