Hello

when recording videos, an SRT file and generate it contains a lot of informations.
It contains a subtitle every 33ms which is far too short.

etc

The idea would be to insert these subtitles in a post-production with Vegas pro for example.

I would like to be able to keep for example the altitude and have a subtitle every second
Do you know of a small software that would easily delete a certain amount of data and keep one subtitle out of ten for example?

00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:01,000

00:00:02,000 --> 00:00:03,000

Thank you

It would be a much easier solution to use Dashware which uses the flight log for information, than trying to utilize the .srt file & it's few useable information signals (it's mostly camera info).

You need to hunt down the Dashware installation package from the web... then use guides from YT on how to use it.
The result is much nicer both regarding the look & the possible info you can add onto the video.

Here an example when I played around with Dashware for a flight where I tried out Yagi-Uda extenders with my Mavic Air 1.

Indeed it is an interesting idea.

I have RaceRender software that allows you to do pretty much the same thing.

What "data" files do SRTs use? The " . DAT"?

What import data format did you choose in the Dashware software?

I could use the plain mobile device .txt log directly... or if I did a .csv conversion with the "TXTlogToCSVtool" to get it in, don't quite remember.

For you it will probably be different as you have a Mini 3 which have encrypted .txt logs. You need to upload the .txt log to either Airdata.com or PhantomHelp to get the .txt decrypted & there download their .csv file and try to make use of that in DashWare (or Racerender).

I created the CSV file. When importing into Dashware there is always a format problem on the column or something else... It doesn't want to work!

In principle it's good, but it's really too complicated

I will continue to look for a program to simplify SRT

See the thread below and follow readme.txt instructions included with the files, it works.

Yeah, that version is adapted to a PhantomHelp .csv, which is key... all other versions out there on the web is for a unencrypted DJI .txt sent through the TXTlogToCSVtool.

I moved forward with Dashware, it's interesting, but very complicated...
Back to SRT subtitles, with NotPad++ [CTRL] [H]

research : <font.+$\s+(^\d+\-\d+.*$)\s+.+(\[rel_alt.+\])
Replace : <font size="10">\n$1\n$2

Allows in less than a minute to have a simple subtitle with some information:)
