FWIW this is my second ebay purchase from 102_store, sometimes showing as 102_store00 and I'm very satisfied. I ordered a Mini 5 Pro combo on Oct 19 and it is here on Oct 22. Three days from order to door. It's one of the very few times when an order from Alaska has an advantage as it apparently comes straight here. From CA it would have been a few more days :). I know others that have also ordered from this store with good results. It was stated that tariffs were paid for and I did not have any additional charges and it was still less than the most prominent US seller on Ebay that I could find. I will also mention that my attempt so send inquiries were met with responses very promptly. that's all....

Any idea if they were actually paid? Some other threads on this topic mentioned these international sellers are documenting their packages contain less valuable products like "cordless drills".

Without knowing your location, hard to say. If you are in the U.S., you would need to find a local(to U.S.)repair facility and cross your fingers as to whether they have parts available. The other option, depending on when you damage it, would be to send it back to its point of origin and have them send it to DJI. Either way, it’s a crap shoot.

For warranty work, you would have to have it shipped back to DJI from a Korean address. The warranty will only be valid inside Korea.

The alternative would be to send it to a reliable shop that can repair DJI equipment.

I paid what was quoted to yeah... they must have paid them. I am told the tariffs are set by the declared value of the item and some folks get around it by declaring a low value. I don't know if it's true but I do know some ebay sellers state that tariff is included in price and others warn you tariffs may have to be paid so be sure to check that out.

The contents and value should have been listed on the documentation attached to the outside of your package, usually right on the shipping label. That's how I always have to document packages I send outside the US.

I believe the other people who mentioned receiving things like "cordless drills" ordered from the same eBay seller you used. I was thinking about buying a Mavic 4 Pro from that seller, but I don't want to risk getting hit with high import fees if their scheme ends up being uncovered.

We've all mentioned up until a certain point, there is no documentation attached to the box. Not sure how that box would look today. The shipping box looks exactly like the box you might get from North Dakota; you would never know it came from overseas unless you looked closely at the tiny return address on the only one shipping label. There are no customs stickers or inspection stickers anywhere on the drone. I've received a ton of stuff from Korea and I've never seen anything like this before.

For FedEx, I was able to look online using my tracking number to see a brief summary of content declarations where many of us are getting bits of information provided by the seller (other than what they have posted on the eBay listing or mentioned in email correspondence.

So what's the game plan here? Now that people see what's going on, are we all hoping the package doesn't get opened by US Customs and they don't realize it doesn't contain what the seller declared, leaving the buyer with a big bill on top of the supposed guarantee that all US Customs fees were covered? It doesn't sound like a very ethical seller, but I might roll the dice too.

Not sure. But since this is happening with virtually all drone shipments from Japan, Korea, and China, I'm starting to believe customs is *not* inspecting any of these (never heard of anyone so far having their drone opened, inspected, or even seized).

The few cases of tariffs being applied that I've heard about were instances related to DHL who seems to be fiercely collecting (we have no idea where that money is actually going). Very sporadic to hear about UPS and almost none with FedEx. Not saying they aren't collecting on *other* equipment or shipments but not on these DJI drones seem to be affected which is probably due to the way they are declared. It honestly seems like the Asian sellers (who all likely all working with each other within their respective countries) are sharing shipping details on how to "smooth out" the US Customs process. Korean drones are passing thru US Customs faster than domestic shipments from North Dakota to South Dakota thru the Post Office.

I see myself working on 3 more orders this year before I call it quits. A base Mini 5 Pro (for the RC-N3), the NEO 2, and the Avata 3. If I could get those before the December deadline, I'll be completely happy although I am quite happy already so far. Whenever the administration makes an announcement (such as new tariffs or new talks) we get nervous there might be a change to the status quo. So far nothing so we're just going to ride that wave. :)
