Any downsides to different GO4 app versions and firmware?

I'm currently on the firmware from March? that updated D-Log which I have no qualms about. I'm also on the same GO4 app version from around the same time. I've since noticed there's been a few updates to the app that I would like such as faster active track modes and the mic recording.

Any downsides to have mismatch app/firmwares?

Some things would depend on aircraft firmware support, I'd imagine active track speed to be one of them.

If I recall correctly there was no firmware update the same time the active track got an updated on the app?
