Apple cable remote question

Looking at a mount for iPad mini and most say you need a 1 foot cable and people freaking. Now I’m assuming you can use your regular charging cable from Apple to run USB on controller to lightning on iPad.

Am I missing something here?

No you will be fine using your regular charger cable plugged into the bottom of the controller

Why use a mount, it'll fit just fine in the stock holders. And, yes, it works with a stock cable

I just purchased the 12” usb to lightning cable on Amazon for $10. Only so there would be no cables in my way while flying.

Ya thought so. People downgrading rating on mounts cuz they need a cable. So I looked at the stock cable and realized the intelligence of those people
