Apple device basics (backup ipad mini4)

(New to apple world) I've had good success with the DJI GO4 version and firmware combo I'm using with my dedicated ipad mini 4. I'd like to make sure if somehow a corruption of the app occurs (or whatever bad happens), I can restore the exact version copy I have from my backup. I have no other loaded apps or activity on the device, and wifi shut off except for the rare occasion to cache a map.

So, to backup, I logged in, connected to itunes and did manual backup to my pc.

From the web reading I did, I couldn't get a real clear answer about thoroughness of app backups, seems some apps don't backup completely or something. All I care about is my current version of DJI GO4.

Can you tell me am I all set for future GO4 restoration having done this?

A full backup on an Authorised computer will back up apps and IOS. it is possible though to downgrade and app to any version on IOS should the unthinkable happen

Back up will work, but don't really think you will have to worry. I have been using latest FW and iOS on iPhone 6 and Mini 4 since last June without any problems.
