RC Pro failure. Did it happen to anyone? RC as backup?

I am taking two drones (one as backup) with me for a month with no internet connection.

Before departure I can either link both drones to RC Pro OR I can link one to RC Pro and the other to RC controller.

In option 1, I have a full-featured RC Pro controller to fly the backup drone, but no backup controller. In option 2, the RC backup controller is limited in some features.

Q1
In light of weighing these two options, did anyone ever experience an RC Pro failure when it becomes unusably inop in the field?

Q2
What exactly you won't be able to do in real life shooting with RC that you could do with RC Pro? M3, M3P

I have used the RC Pro since it was released and never had any issues at all with it. Aside from screen lower screen brightness, fewer buttons and maybe a few other things the RC would do everything I would need it to. I would take both controllers, just in case.

If you have flown the M3P or the M3 with either the RC Pro or RC controller then you cannot switch to another controller for the same aircraft without internet.

Okay, thanks for the clarification....I am flying my 5 year old tech, but still loving it....I was a DSLR enthusiast prior to owning a drone, and when I bought my M2P, I had no idea how good the camera on it would be.

I never had issues with my RC Pro controller, but I always take RC with me in case anything happens. It's good to have a backup especially if you travel somewhere where your shots are crucially important.
