BTW making a video was a great idea! Very entertaining project for us both. We both laughed hard finding out what she knew and did not know about drones once the camera started rolling!

Yeah I bet;) I can imagine my wife and I doing the same thing which I might try just for a laugh. It would be very interesting to see how much she does actually know and what’s picked up from me, bad habits..

Mmmmm, New Years resolution... see how much she knows about our hobby.;)

I highly recommend it! Good couples exercise. I was impressed to learn GF remembered what I said about the FAA registration # located under the battery! She knew it was federal requirement. The retention level on occusync was quite a bit less but Im not sure I explained that one correctly myself!

I think what might be a good idea is, collate, say 20 questions that we pick then get our better half’s to answer them. Report back here with their scores.

Would be quite interesting to see how well they do. We’ll have to make them generic questions cos the laws are different where you are to here and the rest of the world.

I can answer mine already, without asking her. "it flies and takes pictures" would be her response. :p:p:p

nice idea guys but i will have to abstain my other half has no interest in my hobby whatsoever which can be a good thing sometimes its the same as knowing about her car she just drives the thing not interested in how it works

Hey Porky and everyone...
I'm here whenever I can, and I try to stay at least until next Christmas ... LoL ...

That's right, my second hobby is stressing me right now. I do not like the result of my work, so I've already rejected it several times and redesigned it. I'm currently constructing a rather boring accessory part, it's important to me, but not DJI relevant. It's meant to be a resealable protective case for the wire harness of my 3D printer, and it's supposed to protect all connectors. Again, I've learned that being dissatisfied with your own work can be very frustrating.

Here's an example of what I mean:
kabel kapseln - Google Search

By the way, I've ordered 3 kilos of Haribo sour cucumbers as nerve food, and I'll always take a few of these when I explore new worlds with my awesome Mavic1Pro :-)

Jummi jummi: Saure Gurken

The 7th. January is the first day of work for us this year. We had a lot of peace and joy during the Christmas season, and at the turn of the year. No question, it has been the best time together for us so far. Slowly everyday life comes back.

In 2018 we spent a lot of money on technical gadgets and rather unimportant things, which makes it hard for the better half to convey the importance of my wishes, but she already has a new hairstyle and some new jewelry. I'm really optimistic to buy something new for my hobby soon :-)

Here is my top wish list 2019:
#1 DJI - OsmoPocket and Accessories (Definitely).
#2 DJI CrystalSky (Not so sure) 5.5 " or 7.85" ???
#3 DJI - Mavic 2 Pro (Still a bit unsure).

Well I know it's a lot, but hey it's just small wishes and the year is still young.

In terms of 3D printing:
My next project is be to construct a variety of small cases for use directly on the belt. Batteries, pocket lamps, propellers, mounting tools, etc. are carried directly on the belt of pants, which sounds interesting to me.

Here is an obvious example:

Anyone who has a bit of interest in 3D printing can always see what is currently possible with it.

Do a little search for "DJI Mavic" for example on www.thingiverse.com:
https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=Dji+mavic&dwh=855c2e94c66d11e

Here are many useful things for which there may not be a big market, but for a few that can be a great asset. There are also a few interesting ways to use a print service if you want to try a few things but do not want to own a 3D printer yourself.
