Rain and wind has kept me from flying my Mavic so in my spare time Ive been playing with some photo editing software and keeping one of my New Years resolutions to work out more.

Me three... been playing around with Lr cc on me iPad then checking out YT videos to learn more. The only problem I’m having now is I’m running out of photos to practice on.:(

Went out flying yesterday morning, well I went out but didn’t fly, yep it started raining just before I took off. Wanted to get some sunrise photos which I haven’t done yet. Was gonna go out this morning but it’s toooooooooo bloody cloudy:(

What post software you using for photos/vids?

Now I’m gonna start calling you “fish-en”;) see if you can work that one out:D

Me and my lovely wife have been into keeping fit for a few years now, love it but you’ve gotta stick with it;)

I may need boot camp but dude, you guys are looking good! Did you take the drone to St. Maarten? I am playing with a simple video edit software called Movavi. I dont think its as good as LR for photo editing but it makes simple video editing and screen capture a snap. I am just dipping my toe into this photo post production business!

Thanks my friend, not bad for being in our early 50’s;)
I bought my drone while on holiday in Sint Maarten, got the M2P and flymore kit at a good price, oh I do love to barterThumbswayupThumbswayup so yeah got a good deal. Only thing I screwed up on was the memory card, got a class 10 U1, should off got a U3..... now I can understand why the Go4 app is telling me “slow memory card” bummer:rolleyes: I’ve been flying drones for years, had a phantom 2 vision then a Inspire 1 now my little Mavic

I’ve not even looked at the video side of things yet more into the photography side at the mo but you never know, things could change.

I’ve got Affinity photo and photomatix pro 6 on my iMac which is great for merging my bracketed photos then I transfer them to my iPad & finish them off using Lr.

Would love to be able to merge my photos on my iPad but at the mo Lr cc for the iPad can’t do that:(

I’m a newbie to photography but I think I’m getting better, welllllllllllllllll ;)
I just enjoy it, when you get results, it’s all worth it.:):)

I started with a 3DR Solo and GoPro 4 a few years ago. Loved the beast. I thought it was all I needed in a drone until I tried the Mavic. The one thing my Solo had over Mavic was multiple high performance flight modes including full manual (like ATTI) and accrobat. The anytime full manual switch made it easy to practice flying if you lose GPS (which was relatively frequently). Over this last holiday, I checked the three solos I have left in storage to make sure they were doing okay. Gave em a little pat and said dont worry boys we will take to the air come spring along with Mavic. There was a little grumbling why does he have to come, our camera is better, we are faster, how come we were not in your video, etc. etc.

Love your sense of humourThumbswayup very similar to mine;) I sold my inspire, oh I did love that drone but got to the stage where I wasn’t using it so on my return from holiday last year I sold it. I’ve now only got my phantom & Mavic. The phantom batteries are knackered, yep didn’t keep the house keeping up on them:( so they want take a charge now. I’ll keep it for sentimental reasons.... big softy at heart.... you never know I might get another battery for it for old times, did love it as my 1st drone;)

My little ol Mavic.... well.... it’s defo the dogs dangly bits;);)

Okay, that makes sense. My mother was a Sheffield girl so I am half Brit! That may explain the similar sense of humor!

Here ya go, I know you know it now;)

Porky, did you check out this beach when you were on St Maarten? Looks like a nice place to visit and fly drone.

Gawd forbid someone fly a 2lb mavic over someone's head.

Let me dig out what I took while there last year, we always go to sunset beach and spend a couple of hours there. Don’t go away;)
