Hi everybody!
I own my (2nd) mavic pro since more than a year now, and it seems that arms (mostly front arms) becomes more and more loose when I unfold/fold it ...

It makes me worry , because I read some threads about crashes with "no reasons" while in sport mode and doing hard maneuvers... It apears that (maybe) front arms could fold back themselves due to air pressure and/or propellers torque...

As the arms becomes less and less tough to fold back, I wonder if it could be better to solve that issue...which is still not a real issue, but can rapidly become a drama...

So I wanted to ask if somebody knows if it's possible to tighten it up a little bit to recover the original resilience?

Thanks a lot!

There is no way to tighten the front arm pivots unless the screw holding it in falls out but it wouldn't be a bad idea to open up the 2 cover plates on the bottom of the aircraft to make sure there is nothing wrong with them. These can be located to the left and right side of the gimbal screws towards the rear of the aircraft. Sometimes the pivots can become separated after a crash or continued use.

OK...thats what I was afraid about...can't fix it...
..Ecxept if I change both arms...

Yes, I guess it's mostly due to use , I never crashed it yet..hopefully!!
...and I try to make it never happens!

Thank you so much for your quick answer and advice. I'll open it to see if everything is OK, comparing with my well crashed old mavic, which is already open!

Thanks!

OK, good to know.

I'll take a look at the pivot system.

As I'm french, it'll cost a lot to send you my mavic, so I'll try to fix it by myself first..if I can find these parts somewhere...

Anyway, thank you for all these useful and precious infos! I'll let you know about it ;)

I bought a bag (12 pc) of OE Mavic Pro Front pivots for about $25. They’re simple to replace. Online YouTube video shows technique.

PM me and I send you a couple, if you pay postage.

It looks like RunnerGuy hasn't been active here for over a year now, and likely the link he used for this two years ago is no longer valid. This is the only in-stock set of all four I've found, though they're used: 9.98US $ 20% OFF|Genuine DJI Mavic Pro Part Front Left Right Arm Axis Rear Shaft Metal Pivot with Bracket for Replacement (Used)|Body shell| - AliExpress

Overall these parts are getting more and more sparse as these drones age. You might have some luck finding parts (or for-parts drones) on eBay, though those will likely be used as well. You might have some luck on specialist drone sites or through a drone repair company, though I wouldn't hold out too much hope on finding new, OEM pivots at this point.
