Hey! I see some general responses on here, but I just got my first drone this week and my husband and I are trying to find somewhere to practice flying tomorrow. Any advice on fields or parks to practice in? We were planning on going north of the city because of the mountains but if there’s a good spot south of the city, that works too! Thanks!!

i’m heading to Atlanta tomorrow and was contemplating packing my drone and flying at piedmont park. is it worthwhile? can i get some good shots, especially of the city?

You can expect great shots of the park, as well as the city skyline. I used to live in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, and the park is beautiful. This is before I was a (still newbie) drone pilot, so I have never checked to see what the airspace is like in terms of LAANC authorization, etc. So please be sure to check LAANC to see what, if any restrictions, might apply.
