Automatic frequency switching

I am new to flying drones and I looked into the go 4 settings only to find that the auto mode can just switch between channels intelligently. I thought that it switches between both channels and 2.4/5.8 GHz frequencies by itself depending upon which channel/freq combination has the least interference.
Am I missing something?

I confirm that my DJI GO 4 uses alternate between 2.4 and 5.8 but it is not possible to manually set it (in the application itself) from what frequency it should use. It's good if it keeps 2.4 but in the city it seems that it would be better to go to 5.8. Take a look at YouTube, there are many guides on how to force a switch.
