This is the old part of David Dunlap Observatory Park, formerly called just "Observatory Park". It features a landscape installation representing the solar system, to scale, covering the park.
This may end up being replaced by tennis courts and a sports field — I found a rendering by a developer online that shows this park repaced by recreation facilities. No idea if this is an official plan or part of a sales pitch from the developer.
I'm trying out 360cities.net as a hosting site, because I've been having intermittent troubles uploading to roundme.com.
