Bad idea to buy Mavic 3 classic in 2024?

As an old photographer since 1952, I bought the Classic, because of one word.....HASSELBLAD. Hasselblad is one of the world's best camera manufactures... Think cameras for all the space missions........
I do not want to sound like a killjoy but the camera is NOT made by Hasselblad. DJI acquired Hasselblad and uses their name and their expertise in color science. That is the story behind the Hassy name on their drone cameras.

I'm looking at a Mavic 3 Classic as DJI keeps dropping the price on it and seems like a good deal now. Yes, I know it's a year and half old now. Device age doesn't bother me as long as the tool (in this case, the drone) is doing the job for me. Are people happy with their copy?

Main reasons for upgrading:
-Larger, more wind resistant drone. I like to film cloud features from approaching thunderstorms and the Minis struggle with outflow wind.
- 4/3" image sensor should provide great photos and videos, not that I'm unhappy with what I am getting out of the Mini drones. Down sampling of 5.1K video should provide superior 4K video.
-Variable aperture for flying on sunny days where stopping down the aperture might be beneficial for proper exposure.
I ended up finding a really good deal on a Mavic 3 Cine, so I pulled the trigger on it.

Me neither but hasselblad does not even make hasselblad in that regard.

Its Sony for the most part

That is not actually correct. Sensor might be Sony but Hasseblad cameras are still hand made in Sweden in their own Hasselblad factory
You're completely ignoring the reason why I commented on your post.
No matter if its a camera or a drone - the sensor is from sony and not hasselblad.
The packaging of said sensor doesn't relate to that discussion

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.
Sony is the biggest camera sensor maker and make the sensors that are in Nikon, Fuji, Olympus and lost of other cameras.

Following that line of reasoning, Nikon cameras are really Sony?

The point here is that a user says the hasselblad camera on mavics is not made by hasselblad.
I'm arguing that it is indeed a Hasselblad camera, because it says so.

what is your point?

This world ( and this forum) would be a better place if people like you kept their opinions and ideas to themselves. Seriously, if you have nothing constructive or even remotely wise to say just stay out of here, please

Excuse me?
I just say its a hasselblad camera with a sensor from sony
You said it was Sony "for most part" because it has Sony sensor and that Hasseblad does not make cameras, among other not so smart things..And now you are saying that it is Hasseblad camera because it has Hassy batch. It is like saying that chinese Rolex for $10 is Rolex because it has Rolex name on the dial. You can not even make up your own mind let alone mount a reasonable argument. Just leave it. That is the best you can do to stop embarasing yourself further and further with every new post...

Yep, you are twisting it in your favour confirmed.

Have a nice day you too

Or, you could hold out for the Mavic 5 .... (sorry, couldn't resist). If you want to wait for the 4, I understand but the 3 series ... ALL OF THEM, are established champs NOW. Waiting for the M4 will prompt others to wait merely to get discounted prices of the M3 lines. Pick your poison.
