Basic camera settings question

Do the settings reside in the device used (iPad, phone, etc)?
In the bird?
In the controller?


A real simple question I somehow don't know.

The controls are in the drone.
You set them from the controller or other operating device after the drone is started.

Not everything. Some settings are stored in the app and app instance specific.
