Battery fires up drone before switching on

Problem? Battery starts up drone even when off , must remove it to shut down drone . Other battery works as normal

Was unit in a crash? No

What have you tried so far? Updating firmware

What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)? Samsung

What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)? Latest

What Go app version are you using? Latest

Any modification? (if so what)no

Did you change anything or install any apps? (if so what)no

Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? (if so post link)not yet

Sounds like broken/faulty switch or bent/ incorrectly meshing battery pins.

The battery itself turns off and on normally with the button but when inserted, the drone powers up regardless of wither the battery is off or on . No bent pins must be some internal problem .....

Not user fixable in any of those events

Sounds to me like a short circuit in the brain of the battery.
Could point to oxidation inside if no damage occurred.

I missed the part about the other battery working OK. May i suggest discharging the battery and full recharge.

I had the same issue
Power the remote and the drone then on the app press the DJI logo on the top left corner on the screen.it will show you a that a update is required and it will update the battery then charge the battery and it should be ok.
Mine wouldn’t do anything and stayed lit up I could power off or on .when I did that the battery work Locke new it only had 13 charges hopefully it’ll work for you.good luck and fly safe
